Ok, here's a final release version, 2.2.0 which fixes A LOT of bugs and adds plenty of new functionality! See the history log for details.

The main reason for this sites existence will be to provide updates and a link to my current Earthdawn Creation Excel Sheet.

I know what you are probably thinking, There's other blank sheets out there and there's also The Second Step, so why do I need this thing for? Well, I'll tell you. Since it's based in Microsoft Excel, it's completely customizable yet powerful enough to handle all the nuances of the game system. I've been GM'ing Earthdawn since it's inception and the one thing I've found is that unless the sheet/program pretty much allows you to track ALL legend points earned AND allow you to add ranks in everything then it doesn't do you much good since you would have a character partially done, then would have to pencil in +3 ranks to Melee Weapons, +2 PD, etc.

I believe this excel sheet can handle anything you throw at it, plus it prints a pretty nice character sheet and spell sheets to boot!

History:
Some form of an Earthdawn Creation Excel Sheet has been around since the dawn of...well...Earthdawn, at least in some form.

The current sheet was initially created by Jens Clausen, with considerable aid and inspiration from various web-products, especially a similar sheet made by Richard Bax in 1996. Since then, I've been able to learn how/why Jens Clausen has done the most wonderful things with excel (trust me, I've learned A LOT from his sheet).

I've taken Jens Clausen's sheet and enhanced it in several was such as:

• Fully Updated to 2nd Edition rules
  • Including breaking off Spellcasting/Matrix's to discipline specific versions for versatility reasons.
  • Calculates encumbrance
  • Calculates "Per-initiative" movement rate per 2nd Edition Companion Advanced Rules
• Character Import/Export!!! You can export/import your character to a external .edc file so email to your GM or to easily transfer from one excel workbook to another.
• Added colorized and streamlined Printable Character Sheets
• Added Group Magic Threads
• Expanded several areas to allow for more input/ranks/etc
• Added cells to calculate cost of next talent Ranks
• Tells you how many more ranks you need to advance to next circle
• *Added 2nd (and 3rd) discipline according to 2nd edition rules (still does not calculate if you buy more first disc ranks wile <5th circle in 2nd disc yet though)
